Fellow Dallas County Citizens:

This is a message from Dallas County Commissioner Maurine Dickey on the recent redistricting:

From Dallas County Commissioner Maurine Dickey:

Dear Fellow Constituents,

Welcome to Chicago!

The conservative voters of North Dallas County have been disenfranchised; their new Commissioner, Mike "the team player" Cantrell, is the beneficiary of the JWP Machine.

Today, without public knowledge, and worse without informing the other Republican County Commissioner, Maurine Dickey; this last minute surprise redistricting map was voted on and passed by the Commissioners Court .

Even though this redistricting plan had obviously been in the works for some time, only today was it made public to both the court and the voter.

There were three, inconveniently scheduled public hearings. These meetings were about a map, a Trojan Horse, that the JWP Machine never intended to consider.  The public was duped into believing their comments mattered. How's that for transparency?

In this culture of corruption, brought in in with this new regime, we have seen the JWP machine maliciously force Bruce Sherbet, our long time elections administrator, out of office.

Today, the voters of Dallas County were cheated out of due process on the redistricting maps.

How could we have guessed that the results of last November's election would have ushered in a culture of corruption that has manifested itself so quickly?

Your Commissioner,
Maurine Dickey

Your thoughts?  Please weigh in below.

This needs to be challenged IMMEDIATELY!

Democrat Debbie Wasserman-Shultz and her gang of dispicable liberal haggetts tries to verbally lynch African-American representative Alen West who served in the military with honors.

Americans do not like secret meetings that result in backdoor deals. People do not like finding out what is really in a legislation until after it is passed. That is what is going on now with these Obama/RINO deals floating around in an atttempt to undermine the efforts of Cut/Cap/Balance.

Conservative Pete Sessions was interviewed on Mark Levin (the real veteran of the Ronald Reagan aadministration) and Pete Sessions said he reived a pathetic handout. They are not even real plans.

Basically these are tax and spend proposals that promise sketchy promises of future spending cuts with nothing really substantian to eliminate the need to raise the debt ceiling now.

Pete Sessions supports Cut/Cap/Balance because it would eliminate the need to raise the debt ceiling now, has provisions to prevent liberals from using it as an excuse to raise taxes, cuts a substatntial amount of spending now, and does not raise taxes.

Also these deals are probably unconstitutional a

I have been attending Commissioner's Court proceedings since early March. I was in attendance yesterday for the vote on redistricting.
It was an absolutely incredible display of disregard for the public, a pattern of this court every week.
No totally new major change in a very important procedure should be introduced on the day of voting, especially when distributed only to the Commissioners immediately before the vote. I thought that was strange, because it should have been on the table for the public to pick up before the court convened.
I greatly respect Commissioner Dickey for immediately and forcefully objecting to this major last minute change by pointing out that Districts One and Two had been flipped!
Subsequent discussion by Commissioners Cantrell and Garcia revealed that they had not seen this map either!!!
Every element of this scenario gets more amazing.
Immediate action by the citizens of this county needs to be expressed.
Only pure despots act i

How do we fight this now and in the future? Surely if we protest and come in huge numbers, they will have to listen. We must take action and be a force to reckon with from now on out.

John Wiley Price has abused his office for years and will continue to do so as long as he is in office. His goal is and always has been to eradicate the opposition so that he can control Dallas County politics.Unfortunatley there is nothing we can do about it as long as he controls who votes and who doesn't and now, by hand picking his elections administrator he puts the icing on the cake.In this day of the community organizers Dallas has truely become Chicago. Someone check his birth certificate. If you show up in force and try to do something about it you will be acused of racism.I was glad to see Ms. Dickey stand up for what is right but she better watch it, she will become a racist overnight.

"How could we have guessed that the results of last November's election would have ushered in a culture of corruption that has manifested itself so quickly?"--well what would you expect when the wolves are guarding the henhouse?

Excellent comments Commissioner Dickey. Over the past few years, Commissioner Cantrell's votes on the Dallas County horseshoe have not reflected conservative public policy. Our party needs to rid ourselves of this kind of back-stabbing crap, especially when it is done within our own party. I have known Commissioner Dickey for many years; I had the pleasure of serving on the Dallas County Youth Services Advisory Board years back when Commissioner Dickey was Chair of that board, I also had the pleasure of serving 7 years on the Dallas County Park Board, appointed by former Commissioner Ken Mayfield. Commissioner Dickey does not deserve this kind of treatment. Time to clean our own house Dallas County Republican Chairman Wade Emmert. Cantrell should be the first example of what will happen to RINOs who have infested the Dallas County Republican Party for too many years.

Dishonesty in politics has become more in-your-face as moral decay has gripped our country. Citizens have come to accept that there is little chance of affecting the behaviour of elected officials pursuing their own agenda. We are becoming no better than third world fiefdoms where bullies rule and the meek are silenced. Pray for the judgement day to purge government of those who have corrupted the process of representing the will of the people. Pray for those with conscience to have the strength of character to stand up and defend what is right. Pray for enlightenment of the voters so that they choose to support candidates and issues that promote healing of this cancer we have brought upon ourselves.

My question is, "why is John Wiley Price still on the City Council & not in Jail?"
by venita  2011-06-08 14:30:35
JWP is not on any city council. He is on Commissioner's Court.

Because of this culture of corruption, I have sold my businesses and have retired 5 years earlier than I had planned. My husband and I have built a retirement home in another state because we cannot stand to live in this God-forsaken city any longer. Traffic is terrible, pollution is horrible, allergies are out of control, illegals are taking over, property taxes are sky rocketing, people in public service are dumb and rude, and our nice city is going to pot(Holes). Been here since 1977 and thought I would retire here. Nope. Moving to Alabama where the southern hospitality is overwhelming. People are nice. No traffic. Public servants actually want to help, and property taxes are very low. Y'all come!!
by Wade Stanley  2011-06-08 15:03:51
There has to be some way to overcome this type of purposeful deception regardless of which person or party is doing it. Isn't there something in one of the city regulation that allow for an appeal?

by Mike Holmes  2011-06-08 15:28:51
It is amazing to me that people do not know the difference between city and county government. John Wiley Price is a County Commissioner not a City Councilman.
Truly, as the Bible says, "my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge". God expects you to be like Moses and "learned in all the wisdom of the pharoahs. Start studying man and God.

Legal counsel needs to find ways to secure a court injunction against any implementation of this shameful, left-wing liberal, Obama style activity. The taxpayers of Dallas County need to know and understand what is happening to the Constitutional freedoms perpetuated by John Wiley Price.

I recently saw JWP at a local discount shoe store looking at womens shoes and I litterly had to bite my tongue so I wouldn't say anything....pathetic man!
by  Gehrig  2011-06-08 18:57:03
While a majority of comments rightfully focus on JWP lets not forget Commissioner Dickey's reference to JWP's buddy, Mike "the team player" Cantrell. Our party just elected a dynamic chair in Wade Emmert. I am absolutely sure Mr. Emmert will provide the type of leadership that will steer our party towards a path that will advocate resources and support to elect bonafide conservatives into office and ease the path out the backdoor for elected RINOs within our party. Our party will not and must not succumb to the phrase %u201CWelcome to Chicago!%u201D
by Truett Austin  2011-06-08 22:51:40
This is outrageous.
Isn't it against our Texas Constitution and our Texas laws to disenfranchise Texas citizens from voting? Why can't we ask our Texas Attorney General to investigate and take legal action on this? This clearly seems to me to call for legal action. John Wiley Price is not going to pay any more attention to our protests than he has in the past few months. If MIke Cantrell is a party to this, he needs to go.

God bless you for standing up & doing what is right. We can not allow this evil to overtake us. I am praying for God's wisdom to help us overcome this evil.
by Connie Anderson  2011-06-09 14:35:57
I really appreciate Commissioner Dickey and would like to help in any way that I can.
by Nancy Rynders  2011-06-09 14:59:46
As a resident of Lake Highlands, I think this is corruption at it's worse. Can anything be done? I hope so because it's not fair.
by Elizabeth Collins  2011-06-09 21:57:37
Thank you for your courage in standing up to these malicious individuals who are not being transparent. The only way to change results such as the one mentioned in your information is to make such actions public! Again, thank you for your service.
by Carol Kelly  2011-06-10 22:13:07
I agree wholeheartedly; the Dallas County is now in the hands of a Chicago style machine. I will remember this at the pole.
by Julia Dannemiller  2011-06-12 19:24:14
We need someone to lead us in fighting this machine. Surely there is a way. I fear this is part of Agenda 21. (see article in http://www.americanthinker.com/2009/10/un_agenda_21_coming_to_a_neigh.html) Also come hear Cathie Adams on JUNE 27, sponsored by the Carrollton Tea Party.
