On Tuesday, February 1, a vicious winter storm descended on North Texas, rendering travel dangerous and many roads all but impassable.

Despite the nasty weather, a small but hearty band of citizens made their way to the County Administration building to let their voices be heard about the ouster of Dallas County Elections Chief Bruce Sherbet.  Video of the Commissioners Court meeting is posted here:

The next meeting of the Commissioners' Court will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 8 and the Elections Department will be on the formal meeting agenda.

If you care about election integrity, this is the time to take a stand.

I am proud of those who made their way through the fierce weather to speak for so many of us. The disgusting method and removal of John Sherbet sends a sad message of the lack of integrity of some members serving Dallas County. They should be forced to correct this action, and I hope we will persevere until this is accomplished. If elections have no integrity, we have lost our vote and our voice. Shame on Mr Jenkins masquerading as a judge while being a political tool for Mr Price!! And Mrs Garcia, a new member of the board, certainly knows the past reputation of Mr Price. Strange that she would suddenly become another of his tools while turning against a reputable man of 20 plus years. Dallas County deserves better, and I have faith that the good pople of Dallas county will see a better day and a brighter future soon!!!

JENKINS AND PRICE ..JUST ANOTHER
COUPLE OF OBAMA SOCIO/COMMUNISTS

Thanks to the excellent citizens who spoke up. We have an urgent problem: Voter fraud. If elected officials are playing games now, we must figure out how to redress the situation. 2012 elections MUST be our goal for correct early ballots (not like 2010)and the ability of citizens to observe and question bureaucrats. HONEST elections are the only thing between us and dictatorship. What will it take to recall this judge? Any one know the process? And what of the 'protege'? What are the political leanings and WHY was Sherbet pushed out of his job? We are awake. We are responsible citizens and must take steps to protect our democracy before the 2012 election.

Bless you who were able to make it to the County and spoke. Sorry I could not. I thought the county offices were closed, but I could not have driven on the icy roads anyway.

I came upon this situation, like many others, after the act had been committed. After a brief review I must say that it is very disturbing to find that newly elected Clay Jenkins was Obama's Dallas Based Campaign Lawyer and in charge of local Voter Protection activities for Obama.
With Barack's pitiful record while providing training and leadership to ACORN and SEIU, (two of the most corrupt political
government associated entities in the history of this country)the association with Jenkins has to be looked at with a highly jaundiced eye and deep suspicion.
Now, one of Jenkins first acts was to remove a respected Dallas County Elections Chief who has been universally lauded by both parties. For what reason? Mr. Jenkins lack of response and transparency and his tightness with the slippery JW Price should
be remembered from now on.
I demand a thorough explanation and am anxious to know the complete background of Mr. Sherbets replacement.

how does J Wiley Price have so many fingers in so many pies and why ? Are he and Jenkins now the only ones minding the store? God help us ! Well I'm awake now too and I am really mad, they can bet this is not over. The underhanded and ham handednes of all this is truly disgraceful. It's like I've woken up to find myself in Haiti! Ironic Mr. Prices middle name is Wiley an is always included when mentioning him!

I have the feeling that replacing Bruce Sherbet with a more friendly elections administrator was one of Jenkins'first priorities upon taking office. We are going to have to be very vigilant this year while the Obama machine prepares for the biggest election in our lifetime. Please join "Red,White and True Texans" group!
